HITECH / Meaningful Use Readiness Assessment:

The passage of the ARRA and its Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act ushered in a new era of opportunity for the healthcare industry. Today, hospitals and providers are grappling with understanding Meaningful Use and the myriad of other quality measurement, reporting, HIPAA/security and financial implications from HITECH.

Winigent is helping clients respond to the HITECH Act and prepare for Meaningful Use. Our structured methodology includes a detailed clinical assessment of Meaningful Use readiness for hospitals and/or eligible providers. It also includes assessing clients compliance with the numerous HIPAA and security components of the Act. Finally, our methodology evaluates the financial impact of achieving Meaningful Use through scenario analyses based on the findings from clinical and HIPAA/security readiness evaluation. The results of this comprehensive assessment serve as the basis for the recommended technical and workflow enhancements needed to attain Meaningful Use.
